Academy for Enterprising Girls.

Inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

The Academy for Enterprising Girls is a free, innovative entrepreneurship program, supported by the Australian Government. The program seeks to inspire and educate the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and job makers and is designed to cultivate young women’s skills in design thinking, technology and business.

The Academy for Enterprising Girls program is delivered in three ways:

  1. A website full of engaging and educational resources including NEW mini challenge competitions that engage students with different elements of design thinking, offering them the chance to win great prizes.

  2. An online academy which comprises of 10 self-paced eLearning modules where students can create their own business in around 45 minutes.

  3. Engaging and interactive workshops held in schools around the country, where students use design thinking to create a business idea based on an issue in their community e.g. climate change, COVID-19, waste etc.

Young Change Agents is the major delivery partner for workshops and we’d love to discuss organising a workshop for your students.

“I found this workshop (Academy for Enterprising Girls) really helpful for me personally as it showed me what the next steps are once you have a business idea, whilst also building teamwork and communication skills with students from other schools, who we had never met before!

I strongly recommend this workshop, if our school has this opportunity again, especially for students out there who are still unsure of what they want to do when they finish school, as it really opened by eyes to this aspect of the workplace.
