Our impact.

Young Change Agents helps students across Australia identify problems, reframe these as opportunities and develop solutions through the lens of entrepreneurship. Since 2015, Young Change Agents has been empowering young people through entrepreneurship. With the support of our many funding partners, we’ve developed face-to-face educational programs, teacher development programs and our own proprietary technology.

Layering these approaches ensures we make an ongoing, sustainable impact on young people, schools and communities. It means we can continue to grow and increase our impact.

In the year ahead, we will continue to focus on scaling our impact. I’m excited to see the education sector become increasingly enthusiastic about entrepreneurial learning, and I’m determined that Young Change Agents will have the capacity to offer leadership and support to embed entrepreneurial learning in schools across the country.

A snapshot of our 2021 success

Over the last twelve months, we’ve successfully delivered our 2021 programs and challenge series, including the Academy for Enterprising Girls.

But we haven’t stopped there. We’ve also secured new partnerships, launched new initiatives and built on our successes. We’ve now formed relationships with state governments and education departments in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. We’ve also helped New South Wales Education deliver its Game Changer Challenge Champion Program, which teaches students to solve complex problems using design-centred thinking. These new partnerships help extend our reach across the country, giving Young Change Agents a strong presence in every state and territory in Australia.

We’ve increased the accessibility of our $20 Boss program by inviting our community to help with funding. This grassroots support means more young people in low-ICSEA schools can participate in the program. We’ve also built on our successful partnerships with organisations such as Rotary and Logan City Council, with programs that expand on our efforts.

Timeline of impact.

2019

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

2020

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

2021

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
